To provide information, support and services to people with acquired brain injury and their families
Services:
The group provides:
- Headway House day centre open Monday 9.30am-2pm, Tuesday and Friday 10.00am-4.00pm, Wednesday 11am-3pm. The day centre gives service users an opportunity to share experiences, develop new and existing skills, improve social interaction, gain confidence and self-esteem and make new friends through a range of activities.
- Support, access to publications and information
- Telephone help and information line
- Quarterly social event
- A counselling service for people affected by brain injury and their families
- Head Start - a young persons community based social reintegration 12 month programme
- Monthly carers group
Referrals:
Social Services, GP's, Nursing Staff, Consultants, Therapists etc. and Self Referral
