Summary of aims & objectives:
Gofal Cymru is a mental health charity providing a range of community based services for people who experience mental health problems which includes people with other support needs, e.g. drug and alcohol problems.

 
Services: 
  • Tenant Support Scheme in Cardiff providing support to tenants with mental health problems across a number of different tenures including home owners and various Housing Associations
  • Housing Support & Advice Project – information, advice & support on housing issues
  • Vale Resettlement Support Project
  • “Our Business”, this project is being run in partnership with Cadwyn, Taff, United Welsh and Cardiff Community Housing Associations. The project is a new initiative providing support, advice and encouragement to help individuals find their potential through training courses, voluntary work, vocational placements and for those who are interested, the opportunity to become involved in a social enterprise. The team can also offer support with CV writing, job applications and interviews.

Referrals

  • Housing Support & Advice Project – open referral, contact team for referral form [individuals, agencies, professionals]
  • Vale Resettlement Support Project – referral only through Vale of Glamorgan homelessness team
  • Tenant Support Project – referral to team 
  • Our Business Project - direct referrals from service users can be taken as well as referrals from their housing officers or support workers
