Summary of aims & objectives:
The Samaritans is a registered charity, founded in 1953, which provides confidential and emotional support to people in crisis. The Samaritans’ vision is to make Samaritan befriending available, at any hour, for everyone passing through crisis and at risk of suicide. The Samaritans aim to provide society with a better understanding of suicide and the value of expressing feelings that may lead to suicide.
 
Services: 
Our telephones are manned 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In addition we see callers to the door between 8am and 10pm. We are here to listen to anyone who is despairing or suicidal.
