The Wallich - Nightshelter

Summary of aims & objectives:
The aim of the Nightshelter is to provide a temporary, safe and caring alternative to the street for people who, for whatever reason, do not access other provision. Staff help residents gain access to services support progression to appropriate and alternative accommodation. The Wallich Clifford Community also aims to increase its knowledge and understanding of the issues affecting the street homeless.

Services:  The Nightshelter is open from 8.00pm to 9.30am each day. Nightshelter users have a cooked evening meal and breakfast, and hot or cold drinks as required. Laundry facilities are offered. Workers will also provide access to primary health care, mental health services, benefits, agencies specialising in substance misuse, resettlement, and other advice and assistance.
 
 
Referrals:

Referrals are normally made only by the Wallich Clifford Community Breakfast Run, Cardiff County Council’s City Centre Team, or Cardiff County Council’s Tresillian House. However, other agencies can make referrals direct in an emergency
