Summary of aims & objectives:
We promote and support people to enjoy mental and emotional wellbeing.

Services:

  • Sunny Blue Drop in  – 63 Nolton Street, Bridgend, aims to provide a social base where you can pop in for a chat and a coffee. Occaisional social events are organised. We also provide information, support and links to other services and organisations. Tea & coffee are available at a reasonable cost.
  • Befriending Scheme - this is a self-referrl scheme that matches Volunteer Befrienders with people who experience mental health related issues, who feel they have become isolated and lonely. People are encouraged to take part in social or community based activities that we generally take for granted, e.g. shopping or having a chat over a cup of coffee.
  • Housing and Tenancy Support Services - we enable people to maintain their tenancy or to access appropriate housing. We aim to provide support to enable people to access other services.
  • Information service / Training Service -  we provide information on mental health services and other related services that are available locally and nationally; information on mental/emotional health issues; training to raise awareness of mental health and emotional well-being issues and information sessions at Coity Clinic on Wednesdays between 10.15 and 11.45am.
  • Advocacy Service - we work with people who experience mental health problems to have their voice heard and acted upon when dealing with primary and secondary health and social care providers. We can support people to attend a range of appointments such as psychiatrist, benefits and care reviews. This service is based at Wyndham Street and can be contacted on 01656 651450.
