DART Disability Advice and Resource Team

Aims and Objectives

The service aims to promote access to and support students with disabilities to attend adult education opportunities in Cardiff. The Mental Health Project aims to identify the barriers that prevent adults with mental health problems taking up educational opportunities and help overcome them by a) providing courses catering specifically for people with mental health problems, and b) providing information, advice and support to access,/attend adult education classes.

The Service provides:

Information, advice/guidance on adult education opportunities in Cardiff

Opening hours 9am 5 pm Monday Friday

There is wheelchair access to the DART Office and the majority of venues, and help / support for students with hearing / visual impairments and learning disabilities.

People can self refer by contacting Lois Danks at DART, or referrals can be made via day centres, hospital , CMHT staff, voluntary sector etc.
